06 S65 using coolant.

A friend of mine has a 2006 S65 that is using coolant and we are having trouble identifying exactly what the cause is. It will use little to no coolant driving cautiously, but once you start getting into boost it uses coolant.

The overflow does get pressurized and some goes out the cap but it seems like not as much as you have to add.

No visible leaks outside of the engine and no smoke coming from the exhaust.

We have done the coolant test for exhaust in the coolant and it did change color.

Any insight to weird possibilities other than head gasket or cracked block?

Thank you!

Not sure if the 2006 S65 (W220) is the same as a 2007 S65(W221) but I would check the radiator where the air intake tubes pass through. The drivers side in particular is a weak
spot and cracks form and slowly buy surely will leak.
Good luck!

2007 Mercedes S65 AMG
I have a 2007 S65. Loves to intermittently leak at the cap. I replaced it but still does it. Tried new O ring on that new cap. Same. Caps suppose to hold 15psi I believe but dont feel like they do
