Using Mobil 1 ATF
I've been using Mobil 1 ATF that you but at AutoZone for about 10,000 miles. I've heard that some people think this should not be done and others use it without any issues. Am I at risk for destroying my transmission? I am a little concerned and I have searched through every thread that I can find. A lot of the information is dated so I'd like to hear some opinions.

I have used that in my older Mercedes, but my s55 I use Mercedes ATF (Not manufactured by Mercedes to my knowledge). If what you're using now meets or exceeds the specs for Mercedes then it will be fine.

I contacted Mobil 1 and they told me that it is not. However, I read that Dexron V or VI meets or exceeds the standards of the Mercedes fluid. That is what the Mobil 1 ATF is for; I don't have the specs off hand. So I haven't been too concerned.
