Good day ,I accelerated rather quickly the other day in my 2015 S63 Coupe ,and the check engine light came on . There was limited power so I pulled over and restarted vehicle ,light went off car was back to normal.
week later it did the same thing when I accelerated rapidly ,I was on the highway so i had to drive it for a while before I could restart ,when I restarted it power was back to normal but check engine light remains on .
Anyone else every had this problem? any assistance will be appreciated.
What fuel grade are you using? A quick Google search seems to suggest that premium fuel (min 98 octane RON, 91 octane (R+M)/2) is not readily available in the Bahamas. These engines will pretty much knock under full load with lower grade fuel, so since the code is saying knock sensor I'm guessing your engine is knocking badly due to insufficient fuel quality. Might wanna consider putting some octane booster in the tank if you can't get the required minimum octane fuel.
Ok Thanks for that info, we only have bottom line gas . Should i put that in every time I fill up. Also it only happens when I accelerate rapidly.

Yes, you'll have to put it in with every fill to bring the octane level up. Yes, it naturally only happens when accelerating quickly as that puts maximum load on the engine. Knocking generally only occurs if the engine is working hard and the fuel grade is not sufficient. I'm surprised you can get these cars over there in the first place. They are not made for bottom line fuel grades.
BTW, this is the part of the owner's manual you need to take to heart. As it says, you can use lower grade fuel as a temporary measure, but avoid full throttle and sudden acceleration.
Also posted my car was send notification of spotlight error. as soon i turn on vehicle i can turn on night vision for about 20sec the spotlight inop comes on , and night vision stops working .
