New 2017 S63AMG gear box problems
Hello:
Two months ago I purchased my 2017 S63. Two weeks passed and the Gears started to go crazy on me, sometimes the car started perfectly and sometimes it went all the way to 3,000 rpms before moving an inch! I took it to the dealership and they kept it for two weeks. They said it was a gear box problem but now was fixed.
After two weeks everything I noticed that if I start very slowly the car seems to be like in clutch and slowly goes in to gear?
If I go full throttle you don't feel it, but if I drive smooth and/or slow it seems it takes a few seconds to really engage in the first gear.
This is my first AMG, is this normal?

I purchased my 2017 S63 cabrio on 7/1/17 and i have decided to push the sport button before driving because in comfort there is too much lag before it takes off (i am not referring to the sport suspension).

Mercedes Benz AMG S63 Coupe
I just noticed a similar thing this weekend. I just turned over 1,000 miles and this was the first time I had experienced it. When taking off from a stop, on a steep incline, in comfort "C" mode, with the car warmed up, it started violently jerking like a first time driver with a manual transmission. I switched to manual mode and pulled it down into first gear. It sounded like somebody hit the transmission with a sledge hammer when I pulled it into first. But it did allow the car to climb the hill. Then, keeping the car in M mode, every time I stopped at an intersection and manually shifted to first, it sounded like the sledge hammer on the transmission (BAM!) I took the car out again the next day and I could not get it to repeat. I am checking with the dealer today. If anybody has had a similar thing diagnosed by their MB dealer, I would appreciate knowing what the specific issue was so I can share it with my dealer. Thanks.

i had an incident Saturday with the severe jerking at about 5 mph.
i have an appointment to bring the car in for service Thursday to check out the jerky behavior.
