S63 Brake Dust

Anyone know where I can find brake pads for the 2016 S63. I have tried EBC they don't not make them for the rear. Akebono does not make the at all. Rado no luck on finding the pads at all.

I think "Porterfield R4-S & DIXCEL M/Z & EBC's & RB ET500",,

these are really great & dust free brake pads..

I installed Porterfield R4-S last month. I do not notice a difference in braking performance and very please with the lack of dust.

For 2015 S63 Coupe these are the correct Porterfield parts... I would think 2016 would be the same as there were no substantive changes to mechanicals. Brake dust is reduced from OEM but don't expect it to be like CCBs. Also consider ceramic coating your wheels, it makes dust and dirt much easier to clean off. I used to think ceramic coats were basically an overpriced wax/sealant job but I am now a believer.

Thanks for helpful information. I wasn’t sufficiently wise to listen and get CCBs, and this will be great for the new wheels I am getting from David. Not to go off topic, a quick (huge) thank you to David from wheels boutique and DB Cooper for setting up the couple with kick *** upgrades. David is awesome to work with. I’ll do a proper post with pictures when all is done is a month or so.

...and the Akrapovič exhaust system you got us, David. You made it all easy. Can’t wait to see and hear the final outcome of this project! Best—Dan

Just as a side note if you haven't used it Sonax wheel cleaner works really well on the brake dust.
spray it on, use a wheel brush to work it around a little and rinse it off.

David - I have another friend with a 2017 C217 Coupe -

He is not a forum member but was asking questions about

the Akra exhaust system like the system we are putting on

Dan's C217 Coupe -

My friend said that several "vendors" (unknown to me) told

him that there is a 6 to 8 week wait for this system to arrive

from its production location -

Is this a correct time frame -

I understand that the wheels that we are putting on Dan's Coupe

are in the 6 to 8 week time frame -

I thought I would ask here rather than by P.M. so that other forum

members who are interested in the Akra system can have the

production / delivery time question answered -

I as well as Dan and Tal appreciate everything you have done

to help take Dan's Coupe to the next level -

As always - you are simply incredible to work with -

Thank-You
D.B.

When Dan's Coupe is finished he will

start a new thread with pictures and

thoughts and this thread can get back

to the OEM brake dust problem -

Thank-You

The Akrapovic exhaust for the S63's is a special order unit and currently out of stock here in the U.S. however if ordered through me I can have them here in approximately 7 to 14 business days.

If I can help out anybody in this regard please let me know

You're very welcome. These units are nearing their "end of life" cycle (see discontinuing) so I strongly encourage anyone interested in it to act sooner rather than later.
