So you just purchased a fully loaded W222 AMG...
and you want to modify it? That sounds crazy...but I like it!
The W222 S63/65 is a magnificent car already. Mercedes really didn't leave too much on the table to upgrade. However, there are a few items that could use a finishing touch.
1) Wheels - The key to the wheels with this model is simplicity. The W222 is stately and you are going to want a wheel that is timeless, yet adds to the presence of the vehicle. From a purist point of view BBS would be a formidable wheel option. They have a stylish new line of FlowForm wheels that are affordable and come in 19", 20", and 21". RSV Forged is the hottest forged wheel company out as far as contemporary 3-piece designs. You can really tell the difference between their wheels and other brands, but they are still understated. Another option would be our forged composite wheel. What is forged composite you ask? That's a 100% carbon fiber center titanium bolted to an aluminum barrel. This saves the wheel about 4-5 lbs than a traditional forged wheel because the center is much lighter (and stronger).
2) Suspension - This is the easy part; Get fully adjustable lowering links. Even if you do not change the wheels, lower the vehicle and you will enjoy the results. The lower profile enhances the body lines and just looks damn good. Plus you get a little more aerodynamics with less air flow under the vehicle.
3) Performance - The point of the W222 is not so much to be a sports car, but when you boil it down, it is. I'd go with an exhaust system to give a little more guts to the car. Meisterschaft has developed a system that sounds closer to an Italian made exhaust. It is electronically valve controlled so that you can open and hear the pipes full blast on the freeway...then close them just before you pull into the office each morning.
4) Carbon Fiber - Carbon fiber is the new black. It looks good with everything. If you did not order the carbon fiber package, don't worry because we can overlay any W222 part with 100% genuine weave (not vinyl). The rear diffuser, trunk spoiler, and side view mirrors are just a few pieces that would look magnificent in carbon fiber.
If you haven't guessed we love the new S-Class. It has tons of untapped potential, and we are here to help unleash it!
Hopefully this style guide helps
