Anyone do the recall repair yet? Want to ensure it doesn't mess up something else ...

I was at the dealer about a month ago, they did some kind of recall, but i don't think it was related to this, i believe it was something to do with radiator....

I had my 2014 updated last week and I have not had any issues, but I didn't have any issues before the ECU update.

I know of 2 S63 cars in my area that were part of a stop sale due to this.

Thanks, dropped ours off and never had the issue before either

Glad you all are getting real attention to this major issue

I had my 2014 S63 done last week. It works fine. Unfortunately, they also did some kind of transmission software update that was AWFUL! In "Sport" mode, the transmission "clunks" hard when it goes from 2nd to 1st. I have to take it back in to have them fix this - it's hard enough that I'm worried about it doing damage to the transmission. Ugh!

Does your dashboard brightness knob work after the update?

I had it done, no clunk, but I also did the transmission reset trick before I left the dealer

Yes it does - when the headlights are on. I never noticed if I could adjust it during the day before, I can't now. But it definitely can be adjusted at night.

So one casualty of the update, used to be adjustable during the day, too, and I'll have to check about night on mine
