well, my .02 on that is Benz owners arent really buying these cars as "sport sedans" but more like luxo cruisers. So their expectations of what the car should do and react arent the same as bmw or porsche owners. Sport sedans or sports car owners understand the "nature of the beast" which is that the brakes will make some different noises compared to steel rotors.

We have them. They can make some noise when cold. Mercedes has a bulletin out on it, however I am not sure if there is a fix yet. Once their warm its ok. Mercedes topic number LI42.10-P-061456, date 5-13-2015. I work on cars and I found this on Alldata's web site.

Thank you. Everywhere we go it seems people want to take pictures, see the interior and sometimes even sit in it. Where I live, I only see black ones every now and then. I have never seen white. Even the dealer I go to pretty much only sells black ones. When I visit the dealer even the employees come and look at it. Its a very special car. I built it on line and ordered it.

I see a lot of S class around here, nearly all black or silver. I think white is by far the most flattering color for the sculpted body lines.

I am sorry, I cant help you there. I only have 3,000 miles. I do, do some spirited driving from time to time. I have heard they last longer than normal brakes. However the kicker is, I am sure it is extremely expensive to replace the parts. I am talking $1,000.00+, from what I have heard from other manufacturers that have the ceramics. I may do some track time at some point in time. Got to have fun with your toys. Whenever I am at a cars and coffee, People make comments that they have never seen calipers and rotors that big before. We even have a Lambo that shows up sometimes, however he does not have ceramics. At the cars and coffee people will sometimes take a picture of the brake/wheels.
