Change in carbon ceramic brakes

Pretty specific question

Looking at upgrading to the ceramic brakes but am told they can be ordered with either black or silver rotor hats

Anyone know why, or if one is newer than the other

I've found a new 2017 S65 coupe along with Barry's 2016 S63 sedan - both with black hats so doesn't seem to follow any set pattern

I'm sorry, I can't help you, but I have a question... are the standard calipers still used, or does the whole set up need to be swapped out?
