Questions regarding 2010 S63 AMG
 

Hello everyone, I currently drive a 2015 Infiniti Q70, and I am very unhappy with the car, too many issues, the mechanics at the dealer are incompetent, etc...to make the long story short, I've been looking for a S63 for 6 months now, and I finally found one that suits me. It's a 2010 with very low mileage, kept super clean, and has had one owner.

Few questions come to mind before making a purchase, so I am relying on some of your feedback please. Anyone here owns an S63 either the same year or close to it? Any significant issues you've had with the car? What type of warranty did you purchase, what does it cover, and from which company?

The mileage on the car is sort of questionable, because it's very low, but then again, there are people out there who don't drive much, and keep the mileage low. My question is, how can I check if the odometer has been tampered with? Any tips and or suggestions is much appreciated.

I will definitely have the car fully inspected by an independent mechanic, before I make the purchase. Hopefully the car doesn't have major issues. Thanks a lot guys! :)

M156 engine and no MCT trans right?
If m156 engine, check VIN for head bolt issue.
That is all I know!

I have the 2011 with the m157 and MCT transmission.
I have owned it for seven months and love it.

The head bolt issue was fixed by 08 or 09, so, there's no worry there. Check the car fax for the mileage history. I had an 09 CLS63 and a 13 S63, so, kinda a combo of the 2 made up your car. No real I ssues with the cars for the most part. Both engines were tuned too, and no issues from MB about them.

For the CLS, I had a CarChex warranty, worked every time with no issues from them. The S was under MB warranty.

Also, throw this up in the 221 sections if you haven't already. They get more traffic than this one.

OMG, just get it. The odometer rolled back? No way. Just have some mechanic look at it. If it looks Ok, OMG... get this car. It's amazing. LOVE MY CAR like people love their kids.

My 2008 cost so much to fix over 2 years. The newer car is WAY BETTER. Enjoy it. You will never regret it. If you can get a Fidelity or other warranty you MUST GET IT!!!! These cars can be expensive to fix, or not. You may get lucky, but don't count on it.
