2018 S63 missing option
Hello all,
New owner of a black/black S63. I've been building 2018 S63 to get a feel of what an equipped vehicle will be like. On MBUSA website, I built the interior with the black exclusive nappa leather, upon clicking it, it requires you to select rear pre-safe and rear seat package. On my window sticker, my interior is listed as code 561: black exclusive nappa leather, but there is no rear seat pre-safe. I noticed the seat belt receiver does not extend forward.
Now, if I really do have nappa leather, why is my vehicle omitted from having what is forced on the website to be added if I wanted black leather? Can pre-safe be rejected even with nappa leather when they made the car? I do not mind not having that option, just curious why its forced on website, but then not on my window sticker.

I see pre safe in the bottom left hand column and pre safe plus in the drivers assistance package. You might have to ask the Mercedes dealer you work with and ask the person who does the ordering. When we ordered ours (its a 2016) they had to look up all kinds of codes witch represented our options list. They kept double checking it to make sure that our build was exactly what I built on Mercedes web site. Have fun driving around, they are so much fun.

Plenty fun. So much going on as a driver. All the customization and multiple design on the dash.
The pre-safe is standard for the front and driver assist adds more to the safety. What I am referring to is the rear passenger compartment. They have their own designated pre-safe. The option includes an extending receiver when you open the rear doors (it also lights up), and rear seat air bags in the seat belt. Talked to dealer, of course they said everything is true on the build sheet. So I asked them to do step by step building on mbusa and they said they replicated my problem. Adding "black exclusive nappa leather" for $4450 requires you to add PRE-SAFE Rear Seat Package $1300, which then requires you to add rear seat package $1700. If you look above, only the black leather is on the sheet, the rest is missing. Dealer offered no explanation but I have asked that they continue to research and offer something if there really is something missing.

Vehicle was confirmed to be built in June 2017 and options and packaging were different starting in August. They did not give me detail on what was changed or hinted that this vehicle should've been included with pre-safe rear seats, but it is what it is!

Same issue on my build. The rear seat package was a combo package at first, and then they separated it - pre safe from the rest. Some other items were later forced options on the website, but if you ordered through your dealer it was more customizable.

Differently better to order at the dealer exactly what you wanted. The disadvantage for me being I needed it now and signed for as a 2017 expense, and I only had 3 weeks remaining lol. The order would have taken 3 months according to my salesman.
I wish mine had the rear seat package and 4 zone climate as it came with the right rear passenger foot-rest. I could live without that though as the primary driver. If i ever decide to drive for uber though, I just won't mention.
