custom color s class?

I have a '15 G550 that was ordered in Mauritius Blue and its stunning in my eyes. It was a special color that year as I have never seen another.

Anyway, can you order an S Class in a custom color?

I have never seen a custom color S Class and was wondering if its available?

Thanks!

They are available. But be prepared for a significant expense. There is a custom order charge on top of the extra paint charge. You may be looking at $5000 to $10000. (I remember LovinMercedes on this forum did a custom interior color and it was a very large upcharge). May be closer to $5k but I don't remember. I believe it includes any color MB has ever done. You will ultimately need to work with someone at MBUSA in Atlanta going first through you local dealer. Additionally, be prepared for an unpredictable build time and a long build time compared to a standard build to suit.

$5K is fine if I remember it was $7k for the G550 but it was a designo color. I cant find a dealer that knows anything about in San Diego or surrounding areas.

If anybody has any real world experience it would be appreciated.

Thanks for the information it appreciated.

That Mauritius Blue is awesome and would look great on a GT. I see a Mauritius Blue G550 around here in Chicago from time to time on my morning commute and it's a beauty.

This comes up from time to time in other sections too...below is what an AMG rep said on a chat session in the Private Lounge last year: I have heard it it very expensive - like 5 digit numbers

Everything at Sindelfingen and Graz production - S, E, CLS, G-class and GT - is available with custom options for both exterior paints and interior upholsteries. If the exterior paint is in the current or historical Mercedes-Benz palette, this makes it easier to secure the color. These custom options typically add 8 weeks to the production time, and your dealer can assist with this.

Im going to be at dealer in El Cajon next week and I'm going to push them a bit as they are the ones that did the G550. As odd as it sounds I want an s550 in the bright green they do the GT in. I like the Audi better but have to see the new model first. I am not sure I like the all touch screen as that is why I passed on buying a Panamera. I guess I am a dying breed but I like knobs and less technology.

Mauritius blue is an amazing color and ours has a silver/gray interior that is again an oddball.

Im probably listing for sale in a couple weeks.

I have experience with this since my car was ordered with a custom color. Here's the pricing... $10400. $7900 for the custom color + $2500 for "customized order". A customer had ordered this car in what he thought was a custom matte finish but it turned out to be designo Graphite Metallic, Mercedes apparently made the wrong color, not the one he has requested since he wanted and ordered matte. Anyway, I went to the dealer to look at it the day it showed up, 6 weeks after I had first heard about it coming in, and when I saw it, I knew I had to buy it even though it wasn't even on my radar to buy a new car nor would I ever normally buy a new car. It was the exact same color as the 2012 S63 I already had and back then, I don't believe it was a custom color at all. In any case, Mercedes is telling me that my 2018 is the only S63 ever made in this color for 2018.

Thats very sharp.

I am looking for a bright colored car. Either a S550 or C63 in the lime green found on the GT R?. If not Im going to wait for new S8 and order an Audi.

Maybe after seeing your sticker i could have answered my own question. On my sticker shows a $7k for the Mauritius blue which I am not totally sure was available in 2015 I thin it was a later year G63 Designo color.

I am on vacation but heading ti dealer next week who ordered the G550 and ask them. I think Benz is fairly conservative and arent going to go with a wild color on their S class maybe the C63? I know very different car but I can go with either and just shuffle wife car into the mix.

Love the S63 and he color fits perfectly!

I'm 99% sure that MB will not do that AMG GT Lime Green color on either the S550 (definitely not, not for any money) or even the C63.

I could be wrong on the C63 but I bet they won't paint it in that color. Best of luck!

Your best bet is to simply have it wrapped in lime green.

I used to own a 2011 s550 Mauritius Blue. It was stunning and I still dream of this color (you can find my pics on an old thread). I looked into getting an S560 or S63 with it. It can be done but it will cost you $12k. I may opt for it once the facelifted 2020s show up. Be warned though, it draws a lot of attention. I miss the color but not the latter. MB of Manhattan sold a 2015 S class a few years ago in Mauritius blue.
