Question Need definitive advice on trickle charging 2015 S65 in storage

Hi,
I have searched this forum and others hoping to get definitive advice on what I need to do in order to store my 2015 S65 AMG over the winter so that I don't have a dead battery come spring (I'm all set with the other recommended storage prep). Some advise using a trickle charger or battery tender on the battery under the hood while others state it needs to be attached to the consumer (?) battery in the rear. I don't know where the rear battery is, but I gather it is on the passenger side in the trunk. I believe this is a lithium battery, which I assume will require a different type of charger than would a regular battery. I have a 2007 S600 that I've stored during the winter months for the last several years, and I've always hooked up a trickle charger to the battery under the hood. Both last year and the year prior I ended up having to purchase a new battery, so I'm obviously doing something wrong. I recently bought an AMG GLE 63 S that I will store in the spring, but as with the other two, I've read conflicting advice on how best to maintain the battery when it's not being driven for months. I don't want to damage a vehicle and don't want to purchase new batteries every year. I have found excellent advice in these forums, but I cannot seem to find a consensus on this. Any clear and concise advice is helpful and very much appreciated.

2007 S550 4Matic
Hi there…I just inherited my late father’s S550 4Matic…2007. It is located on the west coast and it may take a few months before I can arrange shipping it east. I’m wondering how to best maintain the batteries while the car is at rest. Did you ever get an answer to you question re: trickle charging these cars? Thank you.

We use a battery tender on the main battery.
