Any BMW M5 Competition Love
I know the M5 competition is more inline with the W213 E63s than the S63, but just not feeling the love on the M5. The exterior and interior just dont have a feel for me.
Saw this on my family road trip to Half Moon Bay and was just disappointed.
Any love out there for the new M5 CP other than the performance?

I sold my S63 and went to the F90 M5 last month. The new M5 is amazing and I haven't looked back. Hands down the best car I have owned to date. The competition package is too stiff to be a daily drivier in my opinion. The performance is in line with sports cars double the price yet comfortable enough to be a daily driver. The all wheel drive system is flawless and they have perfected the engine in this gen. The ZF8 tranmission makes MCT and DCT a thing of the past. The tech is much easier, intuitive, and faster than Benz. I am not sure the car would be crossed shopped by S63 folks, but it is worthy of an extended test drive before forming an opinion on it. The car is very very deceiving and an absolute steal for the value.

But yes, the new M5 is an amazing car too and is easy to fall in love with!

'14 Pre facelift. I am sure the new one is great and not really an apples to apples to comparison bw the two cars. For me, the M5 serves daily duties better and performance is better or on par with cars double it's price. I had the previous gen M5 and we can just act like that one never existed lol.

I looked at the new M5 very seriously before buying my 2018 S63. Totally different cars, I get it. The backseat room on the M5 was the epic fail for me so I got my 3rd S63 instead. I'm not a fan of the new 7 series though I was close to pulling the trigger on a new B7 or M760i. In the end, my decision was only based on looks, since all these cars are gorgeous and fast and no one really needs to drive this fast in the Washington DC area where I live. I preferred the look of the S63. To each his own but I would have been just about as happy with any new M5 I'm sure because deep down I'm a BMW guy (driving his 3rd Mercedes though).
My last BMW was this one, had it for 13 years. A 2001 740i Sport. The post Bangle cars never really appealed to me anymore though I had a soft spot for the Alpina B6's the Z8 and some Alpina B7's.
