For those who lowered your AMG
This is for those have lowered their AMGs and don’t want to be replacing their tires with less 10,000 miles due to inner tire wear. It’s α long read, but worth it if you are lowered or plan on lowering it:

https://mbworld.org/forums/w213-amg/...n-lowered.html Good info! I’ve had them K-Mac product and it failed just like those members have mention. I did come across the other company’s products. And it seem to be solid. But have not tried it out yet. |
In my lowered 220 and 221 I always had the issue of uneven tire wear due to the camber. In my W222 I brought the car to an alignment specialist and he made some slight adjustments (there wasn't much left) and said that was all that the OEM equipment would allow him to do. But, to my surprise after driving it for 14k miles all if my tires were worn completely even. It was lowered about 1" in the front and .75" in the rear, FWIW.

Hey bro. I know your lowered on the EBay/Amazon lowering module, how is your tire wear given there is no camber adjustability and how many miles did you get out of α set of tires? Stay safe and well.

Interesting, did you do the alignment in your lowered position and drove it in that lowered setting as α daily?
I got exactly 14k miles on my Michelin Pilot Sport 4S’s and I looked at them when they were pulled off and I was impressed at the realtively even wear given my history of tire wear with the 220/221. And, the 4S’s are also the best tires I’ve ever owned. I’ll never buy anything else. |
