W211 AMG Discuss the W211 AMG's such as the E55 and the E63

OMG....the BEAST became CRAZY :)))

Finally I have installed my ASP pulleys and the guys who did all installation and also one of the good tuners here, they also adjusted my ECU based on the program they made for S55 K with MKB pulles, which they road tested for 4 days, till they got the final version...Removed my speed limiter and torgue limiter...throtle response is much better now...also adjsuted ignition for our type of crappy 98 ROn fuel...

Anyways....I dont even wanna press WOT know the mid-range is awesome, so much torgue its amazing...The car pulls so hard, that I fell with my butt everytime I press the throtle, my tires want to brake loose all the time...

As I been told by the 2 tuners who made my those headers and same diameter pulleys...I should be around 610-620 HP with those modification

The car is much. much FASTER now...Going to go hunting tonight

Would love to see a dyno pull of ASP's. They sound HUGE with much power.

Kinda off topic but how much boost are you guys running? I'm thinking about changing the pulleys on the kleemann s/c and getting the ECU retuned for more boost. I'm runnin 0.5 bar or 7PSI. You think it will cause major reliability issues?

Now are you saying that you car has a torgue limiter on it? I didn't know that the E55 had one on there.

Dont know about Kleemann S/C I wouldnt experiment...my freind has fried his 210 e55 with Kleemann SC 2 months ago but his car had 120.000 miles on it and he put SC when he had 100.000...I don think reg.motor which is not prepared for SC will hold more booost...

Not sure about my BOOST levels...I know Kleemann pulley brings the boost up by 0.2 bar, Evosport got larger pulleys and I think it bring boost by 0.3 bar, there ASP pulley is even larger and I beleive it would bring the boost +0.4 from stock...cause EVO Chip and pulley makes 550 HP and Wetterauer chip and pulley which is the same diameter as mine ASP make 560 HP...also Vadim told ME that ASP is just a bit bigger then Evo one...

Further more like I been told before with Header the Boost on stock E55 drops from 0.9 to 0.7, so we use pulley to UP the BOOST, so I rightnow I think I run about SC run 1.1 bar...


M's are easy kill for ME NOW...need to hunt something more unique...like F430, New Viper, Galliardo, tuned Porsches etc and them

Thanks for the info. I guess I'll stick with what I got for now. I think the car could handle more boost but I dont want to risk it. 0.5 Bars of boost on an AMG engine doesnt seem like much to me. I'm going to run a new M5 tonight so we'll see what happens.

Not sure, havent dyno'd it yet. Expecting at least 530-540hp. I've seen claims all the way up to 590hp/565tq with my setup. I beat a modded 996TT last night with 2 other people in my car though. It made my day! YOu have to keep in mind that I'm about 500lbs lighter than you guys.

I think you should have around 560HP...yes CLK is much ligther then e-class...did ever raced 211 E55 ???

I want to buy VR TB and LSD but my wife doesnt let ME...LOL...

Right now I think I need an LSD whne accelerate out of the corner (race SL55 last night) ESP would interfere too much...

over 600HP from exhaust, ecu and pulley? that is getting up there for those mods... surely cant be that much when the K equivalent is only around 550hp?

Well... let's see, according to ASP you have to the wheel 42-45 RWHP guaranteed and I could attest to that since I have it in my car. Let's assume E55 RUSS has one healthy beast, 469+45=514 with the headers they say you could gain another 50 to 70 HP and topping it with downpipes, so let's be modest, (hehe) and put it at 70HP.

So we have 514+70 (headers)= 584 HP from here on it's all ECU, filters and Sh*t load of little things, i'd say he is very close to 600HP at the cranck. But that is just my analysis.

TO make more easy....Kleeamnn K2 makes around 580 with their Headers, Downpipes and smaller diameter pulleys...Kleemann pulleys up the boost by 0.2 bar (Kleamann Germany told ME), Evo which are larger then Kleemann but smaller then ASP (Vadim told ME) brings boost by 0.3 bar and that why its also making 580 HP but with Primary CATS (no down pipes)...with down pipes it would make another 15 HP at least (cause Cory said down pipes woth 10-11 HP at the wheels)...so It would be close to 595 HP...

Last DYNO I did with Headers but no DOWN pipes...I made around 445HP+ at the wheels +10 from down pipes = -455 from pulleys...500-505 WHP multiply by 1.2 and your get at least 600 HP at the crank...

May set UP has even more BOOST +0.4 bar and Kleemann style Headers with Down Pipes...more boost another 15-20 HP...therefore we come 610 HP mark + ECU upgrade...

Anyways I will need to do a dyno soon...Going to diangnost my Beast towmmorow, see how ASP pulles are running and tweak ECU, road testing...
