Came >< this close to getting one myself. Unfortunately with my financial obligations this year (going on an extended cruise), had to settle for a CPO 2015 ML350 (gas this time) with 13,000 miles on it. Dealt with the guys in Grapevine, TX who couldn't have been nicer. Oh, well, next time. Enjoy the hell out of that ML63. I know I would.

Yeah deffo do it, better than thew Cayenne Turbo, but get one thats had brakes changed if around 25k to 30k miles or so, big expense, Im at that point now.
It drives like hell, sounds like hell and looks like hell in the right colour, Ive had a lot of high performance and prestige SUV's and this one gets the most comments and admiring glances.

Mine still stops great even with the front rotors just below the service limit @ 33.6mm (limit 34mm), the annoying thing is the previous owner just put new pads in all round so will have to swap out as new pads. The rear rotors are just above the limit so will do them in a few months.
Im thinking about genuine AMG rotors but pads from Carbotech or similar, to save a a bit of money whilst getting very good pads too, what do you think?
Are the ML63 discs a composite type material or old fashioned steel like all other cars?
