Not to mention a sick exhaust note ... I find it hard to do work to do performance work to mercedes Benz . There isnt that many aftermarket companies making performance parts . And I am sorry 12k for a Supercharger on a car that costs between 7k to 14k is nuts .

depends what you like, people dump that into a motor or trans in a fox body or f body cars all the time and those cars themselves are worth nothing.
i could build a coyote allot cheaper, but i dont want a mustang.
There are parts out there, not a huge selection like an ls but you can get anything you need.
That and the fact that it has a lower torque rating than the 722.6. I'm pretty sure the current SL65/S65 AMGs still have a 5-speed transmission. It's a great transmission but I love the 7-speed because it has shorter ratios.

Oh yeah it does but the 722.6 has a higher torque rating than 722.9.
That turbo CLK500 was a rear mount turbo and looked messy from the pictures I saw of it a while back. But 420 WHP is an ideal number for the W209
it may, but the 722.9's hold up. You or i arent going to make the numbers to hurt it, then with that power you still need to put it to the ground to stress the trans more.
i know people that build chevys with th350's and run stupid numbers, but the th400 is stronger.

Well there aren't many places you could stuff the turbos. You could put them where the primary cats are...but seems like the piping would be a pain to fabricate. Then you have your turbos exposed to the elements. I would probably still go with a supercharger.
True, the supercharger options that are available are super mega overpriced BUT...you might spend just as much money for a custom built turbo setup that is well fabricated and made to last...AND there's something to be said about parts that are easily accessible right on top of the engine...especially when it comes to forced induction.
I personally wouldn't waste my time and money on trying to go all motor. I would just slap a supercharger on it and call it a day. It's been done many times before and it works well.

Its rear mount and he basically ran The exhaust pipe on the passenger side of the transmission tunnel and the charge pipe on the driver side of the tunnel . I just had my car at the muffler shop a couple of weeks ago and the oem muffler is pretty large so you can easily mount a turbo there . This setup is actually better in my opinion . because if you mount this in the engine bay you will have to get custom brackets . Plus you do not need a muffler or exhaust system . I have seen this done on corvettes . But since its mounted downstream its not going to make crazy horsepower. but if you can get 420 without a tune I am sure you can get 500 with a tune .

I priced everything including a tune and I'm still under 3k for the whole project. eBay is a beautiful place!
