I modify the stock air boxes to make it taller for more air volume.
I'm doing this right now for the C43 and would like to know if it will fit the cars you guys own?
From pictures I've seen it looks like the box will clear the firewall but not sure if it will clear a closed hood. I would like to ask if you guys could pick someone here that's well known and trusted so I can send him a box to test fit. Of course he will have to agree and if he does not maybe have a second guy. But has to be in the USA because shipping outside the USA is about $112.00.
The box I mod really makes the C43 run much better than the stock. There will soon be two user reviews, one from the USA and the other from Switzerland. I know my box will improve your engines for sure.
Price is $525.00 shipped inside the USA, that's more than half the price of the renntech air box.
The person that will test fit will get a nice discount if he decides to keep it.
And hopefully he will post how it performed on his car.
I'll test one out and Dyno it
I'm in MA, if your local even better.
Steve
I found out that all I really need is pictures under the hood. With your current box installed can you snap some pictures where the air box sits on the MAF? I like to see how much room you have from the box to the firewall. Be nice if you can dyno it but shipping in the USA is like $43.00 plus than you shipping it back another $43.00 total $86.00. Dyno test here in Chicago is $80.00 for two passes.
If you were interested in buying one than dyno it I could offer you a discount.
I was excited to see this post because I've always wanted the Renntech airbox. I just couldn't bring myself to pay the retail price for one, and there aren't many used examples on the market.
So after communicating with speed43 today, I ordered one. This is the price point I've always wanted, but never thought I would find. Speed43 is great to work with and answered all of my questions. I hope to have it by the end of next week and will keep you updated on quality/fitment, and will share my impressions after some road work.

I'm near Chi Town if you wanna test fit on my W210. It's an E430 with a 55, only issue i see is the dual intakes but doesn't matter when on a dyno cause the hood is open anyhow.
I'll be around till the start of may and then some of June. Might be in Addison this weekend. If anything, you can snap some photos!
