300K club

I'm just wondering....
Have you had any major issues/services?
How many miles were on the car when you got it?

Wishing more trouble free miles!Dr Tootache was asking about any major issues... well I guess polarbexar has a very good unit so it balances out because I get all the faults
I have now 395 000 km (~246k miles) on my own and the following fault list during the last 65 000 km (40k miles)
-Heater core evaporator change (boy what a job)
-Sway bars and lower control arms were shot
-Air flowmeter gave up
-Inlet manifold failed
-One injector failed
-Thermostat failure
-Two stepper motors / links failed
-Both catalytic converters clogged, car was not driveable
-Yet another stepper motor link failure
-AC stopped working when idling
-Sway bars and lower control arms were shot AGAIN after 10k
-Heater booster failed
-Injector seals started leaking again
-Transmission gear shift module failed when I was halfway of 500mile trip back home
-Oil separator failed and leaks
-Thermostat failure again
-Trunk jammed and can not be opened
-Hand/footbrake rusted away (car did not pass the yearly inspection, had to change all the pads + brake disks too)
-Core evaporator temperature sensor failed
-Control arm bushings
...And the latest happened this week: running very rough with only 3/4 cylinders. Guessing another injector failure. Dealer visit booked already...

Mom decided to give the car to me last summer with ~178k on the clock and I have only replaced the the rotors, pads, and every fluid that I could easily reach.
Now that I'm out of school for the summer I am about to do the tie rods, control arms, sway bar end links, and intake manifold (infamous p2006 code). After everything is cleared up I have also have a few trips planned for the summer.
These cars are too much fun. I still get great gas mileage on the highway and have fun throwing my car around on the country back roads.
I hope you and your daughter have a great time in Atlanta next weekend.
Be sure to let us know how your track day goes
Do you have any odd care or maintenance advice for anyone to make it to 300k trouble free?

Hopefully you get many more years/miles out of it. I don't think I'll ever love another car quite like I did my 05 C230. Nearly 4 years later and I still miss it. Just picked up a 2014 C350 - it has big shoes to fill!

Oh yeah VVF, I forgot I had those pics there! LOL
