Yeah, I read the plastic plates can be changed but I don't see anywhere online that sells just the oem plate so I could just get the oem 2010+ grill whenever so that will be fine.

The OEM and after-market bumpers are just plastic covers. The sensors are behind the bumper covers and don't need any kind of adjustment.

Right, but looking at the pictures from Chris he had to fabricate the inner bumper of the oem bumper to the facelift bumper to put the sensors?

Weird. I wonder why he did the holes? In his S65, his oem bumpers didnt have the holes...

Just an update to this. The new bumpers have mounting locations for the distronic. There are 2 square boxes in the rear bumper and 2 in the front. The plastic housing is shaped a little different but they fit and are there.

Did you order an 2010+ OEM grille? Because the aftermarket grille won't work with Distronic+.

Nope, didnt get it yet as I'm still working on putting the car back together. I'll get it, it's no rush as I don't use distronic anyway and it's simple to just swap the grilles.
