hello and intro

Figure I would keep this thread updated instead of starting more for my car. Have been enjoying the hell out of this car and every time I drive it it puts a massive smile on my face .
Since the last post I have done a bit more blacking out of the chrome. Just leaves the window trim, the giant side rocker panels, and the door handles.
I have brought it to the track again with my buddy in his S5 and had similar results as the first time out. Amazing how his car takes off at the start but then this car gets traction and it's all over for him.
At this point I am waiting on the rebellion tune and filters to ship. And will also be installing the AWE touring valved exhaust soon. I am very anxious for this as the sound of this car is intoxicating and can only imagine what a deeper sound is going to be like. As i have said retaining the factory push button exhaust was a must have.
So as I wait I have been doing a bit of work on the cars "house". Had a company come in a do epoxy coated floors. I have done it in the past on my own by after a few years it started peeling. This has a 10 year warrenty so should be no issues.

So today has been exciting. First I got word that rebellion group buy items shipped out and should have them to install tomorrow night!
Then I got word that my AWE touring exhaust arrived at Eurotech!!! I went by to check it out and snapped a quick picture but had to leave otherwise I would have been tempted to steal it and find a way to install it tonight.
As you can see I got a pic of the Cross pipe with the valve. Quality looks incredible as I was expecting.
Cannot wait to fire it up the first time and press that exhaust open button! but that will have to wait until next week

Keeping this thread updated as I continue my build on this car.
Since the last post I installed the rebellion piggyback and filters. Notice a large power gain over stock right away. And the turbos seem louder guessing the filters. At this point with Tc off just hitting the gas peddle hard will leave 300 feet of marks easily. Also will break traction through 3rd gear if really on it.
Then last Friday I got my Awe exhaust installed. I posted another thread on it so not going into detail but it's AWEsome(lol)
I am now looking at larger sticker rear tires, also on my list
Cf front lip
Black exhaust tips
Yes I know it's upside down. Just thought it was a cool picture!!
All wired, looking for a place to stick the box
Just a cool pic
Stock vs AWE

Got home on Tuesday from a 12 day trip. Driving a Nissan, ford, and Toyota really really made me realize how great this car is. While I was gone my wife had a few days to "bond" with the Amg. She is now in love with it and wants to swap cars all the time. The first day she drove it she didn't play with the exhaust button but the second day she decided to get open it up and enjoy the AWE symphony.
Nothing like firing this car up on Tuesday morning before work. I took the long way
Hoping to get some driving and maybe racing this weekend
While I was away I researched more about vinyl wrapping. I decided to order some 3m wrap and some tools from amazon. I did the window trim after work and it came out pretty good. I am going to try the handles over the next few days. I want to do the silver "running board" but the vinyl I got is not big enough.
Here are a few quick iPhone shots of the wrap

So I decided to pull the rebellion tuning box out and take the car for a spin. If there was any question that it wasn't adding power that thought has been squashed. The boost was certainly not hitting as hard as with the box installed. I quickly put it back on after the drive. I still have not seen the quarter mile results I was hoping for so not sure what has been going on. I finally contacted a dyno shop by me and hoping to get some pulls next week. Going to see if I can do run with stock filters and tune bypassed(so only exhaust as a power adder) then run with the box plugged in and the new filters.
Also saw the turbokits BOV is on sale so ordered this afternoon. Seems like an easy install and the 450 guys had a nice review so worth a shot.
I'll post some pics once those arrive and hopefully of my dyno results

Hi There,
Are there spacers on the front wheels to make the VF103 wheels fits? Reason for asking is that someone has told me they need 15mm spacers?
Car looks wicked with your chosen mods to date - keep up the good work.

thank you! I have a few more mods in the works. hopefully will get installed before winter at this rate ha.
I do not have spacers and they fit just fine. although something in the front would not hurt as it looks a little tucked from some angles.

a couple shots I took this weekend in the non stop rain. Since the last update i have wrapped the large silver panels in gloss black. Added some Toyo R888 to the rear.
I brought the car one last time to the track on the stock tires and with the piggyback out. It was a roll race event but got one actual quarter mile pass it was my best time so far 12.167@120.06. My 60 foot on these dunlops are killing me. 2.224 on that run. so i decided to get some Toyo R888 installed and headed out for a test tune. Unfortunately it was a extremely hot and humid night so my times were slower but my 60' was finally sub 2 seconds
