New W213 in the Garage
I have been following the W213 forum since it started, I got to drive a demo in late June, the same day the EPA released the cars to the dealers. When we got back to the dealership two tractor trailers were dropping off the fist 2017 E300's.
I had been considering replacing my 2008 Lexus LS460 and had been test driving several cars. I am 6' 4"" tall with 35" legs. I cannot just buy whatever car I want to. I have to choose from the cars that fit me comfortably.
Anyway after driving 4 or 5 other brands, I went back for a second test drive in the E300 and decided to buy one. I made a deal that day, but since we were going away for 3 weeks, I only got to pick it up today.
Here are the details: Selenite Gray, Black MB Tex, P1 package, Sport Package and the Burmeister Sound System.
Only drove it home from the dealer, but so far I am happy with it. I need to learn how to use all of the features, but will probably never use 30-40% of them.
I will post an update after I have had some time to spend with it. My wife will probably drive it more than me as I enjoy driving my E350 coupe.
I also need to update my signature.

congrats! I've been considering the Sport package but don't see this as being a sporty sedan so don't see the need. Was it just the wheels or did something else push you over? I drive very sporty especially during tight corners but not sure if itll help

justin001,
First of all, I did not have a choice about the sport package. All of the cars coming in until late August or early September have the sport package. The luxury edition has not yet been released to the USA.
In any event, I prefer the look of the sport package - the wheels, the front end and the body trim. I think it is a more up-to-date look than the luxury version.
As far as I am concerned, this car suits my needs. My wife will drive the E300 daily and I have my coupe which has the AMG package.

Interesting, i like the standard look over the luxury as well. On the MB site the Sport package is just the wheels, brakes and headliner for $650, but i've noticed both of the cars i looked at had the sport package. My build is already over 71k and im trying to save a few bucks by removing a couple options that aren't as important.

threeMBs,
My E350 Coupe has code 321 - Appearance Package: 18" AMG twin 6-s consisting of:
409: Multi-Countour Front Seats
486: Sport Suspension
75V: Tire Rating
786: !8" AMG 6-twin-spoke wheels
950: Sportline Package
I know that it has the standard engine, not the AMG 8 cylinder engine. Sorry for not being clearer. I had no intention of misleading anyone.
