You got to make it look nice I get it. I like those wheels you have in your signature. What are they, if that's the right way to ask that? I like how the front ones actually have a LIP on them. They don't even look stagger from the picture.

That's what I like about the c280 which was my first Mercedes. You can put in big lips front and back. Wheels like that just look so nice!

I just blew my whole car budget a couple months back on the 55 swap, so I'm definitely still not able to swing anything for a while!

I appreciate the offer though. You're doing great work here

I decided to stop making the air boxes and elbows. Not enough interest to keep wasting my time on this.

I have two boxes I'm working on and I believe two elbows I will sell. After that I'm closed. I wanted to stop two months ago but some of you encouraged me to keep going. This time I have no choice. There's just no interest even after offering deals to some people. They don't even have the courtesy to email back with "no thanks."

If anyone wants the last two air boxes and elbows email. But please be series. I don't want to be emailing back n forth 30-60 times, yeah that's what I go through with most people and at the end they don't buy.

Geo3617(@)Gmail.com
$480.00 each for the last two air boxes.
55.00 for the last two elbows.

THANK YOU TO EACH ONE OF YOU THAT SUPPORTED MY EFFORTS TO MAKE YOUR CAR A BETTER PERFORMER!

Sorry to hear this George, but I guess C36/43 owners must be running on rock bottom budgets. One wonders how they pay maintenance items and tank fills Perhaps the C36/43 run on empty tank fumes and maintenance items are salvaged in the local dealer's garbage bin...

the box seemed like a decent mod, but I just think $480 is a lot of money for 8-10hp. regardless if the renntech box is $2000 or ther eis no other mods for this car.
I'm not saying you didn't offer them for a fair price given the time you were investing, but just that you shouldn't be surprised that they didn't fly off the shelf.
If most C43 owners are like me there's always something to get fixed on the car. For me just since march: refinished the factory wheels ($400), installed new ball joints ($60 for parts and a full day labor), fixed malfunctioning seat control issues ($200). Replaced the serpentine belt ($20 part), replaced transmission mount ($50 part), new all season tires ($400). So I'm not likely to spend $500 to replace something that is working perfectly fine.

I had no problem spending $480 for those parts. The idea of a slightly better sounding engine got me more excited than extra power.

I am just in a place where I have so much more to do on my car. I am fully restoring it to mint. I even bought a parts car for interior and i wanna respray the whole car. Cant justify spending on performance mods now.

Dont give up that easy man. Id say maybe make boxes for some newer AMGs. Those guys will pay all dy

In order to go to those that have money to pay for this kind of stuff you have to have a good reputation. The product has to be tested and dynoed and reviewed, etc..

It's not easy, say I want to do air boxes for the c63 amg. I have to first buy the air boxes from eBay. They are not near cheap, and if I did buy it I would than have to convince someone to try it out and report back good or bad. Just like I did here for the c43. Believe it or not it's a lot of work to set something like this up. When I did the first clk500 air box weeks back, it took along time to get one box to the first guy who was willing to buy it. I had to buy three boxes with two being ruined. The third came out great, and I shipped it to the customer.

And if one of the members from that forum didn't help me out by using his car to test fit, that box would have never gotten done. It's really not worth the frustration.

Anyway, I need to move these two boxes and elbows. I haven't finish them yet as I have other things I'm doing. Anyone that makes me a fair offer I will take it and finish them and ship. I have one elbow that's completely done, I sent it to Alex to have it dynoed but customs sent it back to me. The stamp said wrong address, I don't know what happened cause I did put the right address but oh well.

I will take $35.00 for each elbow.
Remember guys these are the last two of these items and that's it.
Anyone wanting me to make one a year from now will have to make it worth my while.

Here's the elbow that's ready to ship for $35.00.

Quick update. Only have one elbow left.
Have a deal for those of you in the fence because of price.
I will sell the air boxes for $ 380.00 each. That's 100.00 off.

Thanks Daniel and Zayed.
I will eventually put the last two on eBay for a higher price because of the fees of eBay and PayPal.
And I'm only selling these two in the USA only. Thanks.

Jorge,

I just wanted to thank you again for the modded air box and elbow. Your outstanding craftsmanship is worth every cent that you charge. I'm glad that I was able to purchase them while you were modding them. Nice to know that I added some ultra rare, factory looking parts to an already rare AMG.

D.

I can also pip in here to thank George for his modded air-box. Great stuff except that I have noticed I need to remove it in order to access the ATF filler tube. No way I can get a hand back there with the box installed, but it's a very small drawback for the results obtained. With my 722.6 repaired I can now consider booking a date for a dyno back to back comparison

Thank you sir. Looking forward to the dyno result.
You're pretty handy, why not pull the maf housing and elbow and port them.
Would be great to see dyno results on all 3 mods.

Good idea as the air-box is off to have access to the ATF filler pipe but I can't to a before and after Dyno test with the elbow, so it will have to be with the ported elbow and standard air-box, then ported elbow and modified air-box.
