Wow ! This car is awesome ! Just picked her up today.
They are visually stunning cars in person. The refinement inside is second to none. The power is fantastic bone stock. Its weird to just mash the pedal and have zero tire spin. I always dreamed about having my E55 or the CTS AWD. That part is as amazing as I thought it would be. I dont need the excitement or drama of peeling out or having the car go sideways when you dont always want it to. This fits the bill perfectly.
Had a full bolt on E55 AMG then went to a CTS-V about a year ago. Before modding it I bought a fully built CTS-V with forged motor etc etc. Great cars but this thing is on another level in about every way IMO. Looks better all around. Not as aggressive up front but the rear end and sides look so much better. Was never in love with the CTS.
I didn't plan on getting one of these just yet. Last time I looked about a year ago they were way to expensive to really consider (I dont do car loans anymore)
Looked for fun while my CTS was in the shop getting work done to it. Found one a hour away with high miles but for only 50K ... Yeah it has 68K miles in two years but all freeway miles.... Next one I could find was like 500 miles away with 48K miles and was $63K, after that they all seem to be in the 70K + range. Got a killer trade in value on the CTS and upgraded to this car for 15K couldnt have worked out better.
Will be sending in ECU for a tune within a week, probably getting down pipes too
