Does your bi-turbo E550 vibrate at startup?
Now, I still get the cold start startup vibration, it feels a bit worse (but admit it may be in my head), but doesn't last as long. I don't know if new mounts need to 'break in' or anything, and it completely goes away once it is warmed up. If I shut her down and get back into it (like go in to get a coffee) it doesn't happen but if it sits all day (like when at work) it does.
I notified the MB dealer to ask if they had any ideas. I won't plan on bringing it back in unless they tell me to, or someone here indicates I should be REALLY concerned. Car is fantastic in every other way.
Any ideas? My guess is they will tell me it's normal, and I have been surprised but what is 'normal' already (the decoupling driveshaft while stopped was a weird one, and the exhaust rattle for 2-3 seconds apparently is normal), so wanted to see what folks here had experienced, if anything.
Thanks in advance!
Brian

check this tank under the engine T cover.
Anyway, burning smell started after dealership changed tranny fluid and lets just say 3 trips back and a lot of conversations later, the leak they caused was finally repaired properly. Evidently some spray remains and thus the smell and dealership says they don't offer undercarriage cleaning. Will look into again once its due for service. Sometimes a new service manager makes all the difference.
Vibration varies and cant find what causes it - harmonic balancer maybe? BTW - vehicle is a 2010 E550. I just re-read OP's post and it clearly states 2012...so my bad.
