I live in Denver and have been to the top of Mt. Evans in a Jaguar XK8.
On the way up, the gas vapors expanded from the tank and overwhelmed the charcoal canister. We could smell gas fumes everywhere even with the convertible top down.
Then when we parked at the top, the engine vapor locked by boiling the fuel in the lines, and we had to wait for it to cool down before we could drive down.
Pretty sure the English boys skipped high altitude testing before launching this cat.
