PSA: Deleting/overriding exhaust valves
Wanted to start a thread so people searching would be able to find this information and possibly avoid a headache. there has now been 3 confirmed instances of this so enough to convince me that it will happen on any other cars.
What the issue is. In an attempt to make your car louder you either remove or remote control the exhaust valves.
result: your car will go into a limp mode but there will be no signs such as a CEL. You may notice a decrease in power after a certain RPM. if you have the digital HP gauge it will NOT reach max HP.
This is because your ECU will not be able to communicate properly with the valve motors.
the soft codes are:
P13c700 this is the center Mid pipe valve. that all exhaust have
P141100 and P143700 would be for the rear muffler valves.
