Wow, that's surprising...
One, or both of you, could make money selling these!!!!. He needs to answer dammit! LOL
So I hit my Tech up when I went in about the possibility of moulding the boxes to be able to sell down the track...
He basically said that he's only interested in doing one off custom jobs so no reproductions sorry.
I've already hit him up to fit out my wife's W205 C250 drive car with a single 12" or 2x12's so see what he does with that one.
The C250 has the basic stereo system and a boot floor caverty so he may do a single sub under the floor which maybe the better option for her as she carries a tonne of boxes in the boot for work.
Keep you you all posted when we start that project.
I'm the chap with the rattling Sapphire Blue 911 TTS I now have that and a rattling C63s
DragonRR, my sedan was tight with no rattles for about 2 months then the rattles came.
By the time my Mode Carbon Kit got to Australia the car had about 10-12 different rattles, all the same as everyone has complained about.
The car went back to Mercedes to get the carbon fitted so I got the service centre to investigate all the rattles to try and get rid of them.
3 times it went back before all were fixed except the rear parcel shelf still has a rattle.
Waiting now now to get the car back to see if the extra bass causes any rattles which I'll just trying adding sound deadening if any appear.
When speaking to Mercedes I described the rattles to being like running down the street with a pocket full of coins (they didn't find it funny).
Honestly, the quality of the build is pretty average (interior rattles and exterior panels not lined up etc) for a $180k car on the Australia market concidering all my past BMW's and my W204 C250 never made a sound.
Even my wife's W205 C250 work car is tighter then the AMG with only one dash rattle which I'll get sorted soon.
Well my custom Subwoofer boot install is all complete now.
We picked the AMG up this afternoon and my wife and I are super happy with the finished product both sound and design.
My wife got to drive home so she got to listen to her R&B while I got to follow admiring the AMG's presence on the road.
I hope everyone following this post have enjoyed the progressive build photos and like the finished project.
I cant stop looking at the photos I love it so much...
Its amazing how much fuller the sound is now with some strong deep bass and there's a big increase in volume too.
As I don't have a tuned ear and I'm am half deaf from over a decade in the Army, lol, I don't think I'll bother amping or re-processing the speakers as the new system sounds great to me.
Let me know what you think of the finished build and keep an eye out for the next build post on our W205 C250 custom single 12" floor caverty box starting in a couple of weeks.
