E63 Muffler Delete
I'm trying my luck in these waters. Car has an x-pipe now. I'm looking for more noise but I can't cut cats because car has an aftermarket warranty. Has anybody done a muffler delete? I have searched all over and have yet to see anybody do this. Thanks in advance

Your username / info states you have an s600 - I have no clue if it would be beneficial or wise do to a muffler delete on that, but I have seen and heard several c63/e63's with no resonators, no mufflers, decat, and straight pipes. If you want to drive the car daily and not frighten ever living being around you, I would stick with your resonator delete, maybe some different mufflers for sound. If you decat you're going to have to find some tuning for your ECU as well. If you've heard an offshore power boat at full throttle that's the equivalent of what you'll get. And expect to have every LEO in a 4 mile radius wondering what the hell your driving.

As long as you keep the cats I think you'll be ok.
my 55 is Kleeman headers, catless x pipe, oem resonator then oem mufflers with cutouts right before the mufflers. You'll be hard pressed to find me driving it with the cutouts closed. I daily drive 80 miles round trip open at all times unless they need to be closed. I love it. Maybe do cutouts then you can be loud when you want and quieter when needed. Being a 63 you'll be raspier but if you keep the cats in place it still shouldn't be retarded. I tried before the resonator and that's a no go. Droned like crazy. Keeping the factory resonator is optimal IMO.
i only close mine when I have lady friends (and an occasional cop) in the car since they mind the noise. They also hate the smell of a car with no cats
