I'll try and get it weighed up before final install.
I watched the Tech pulling the boxes in and out and I was surprised how easy he was lifting them out of the boot.
Obviously subs will increase the weight of the boxes once fitted.
Dont think it will need a HD spring kit as I've never had to change springs in any of the other cars that I've had big boot installs in.

He basically said that he's only interested in doing one off custom jobs so no reproductions sorry.
I've already hit him up to fit out my wife's W205 C250 drive car with a single 12" or 2x12's so see what he does with that one.
The C250 has the basic stereo system and a boot floor caverty so he may do a single sub under the floor which maybe the better option for her as she carries a tonne of boxes in the boot for work.
Keep you you all posted when we start that project.

By the time my Mode Carbon Kit got to Australia the car had about 10-12 different rattles, all the same as everyone has complained about.
The car went back to Mercedes to get the carbon fitted so I got the service centre to investigate all the rattles to try and get rid of them.
3 times it went back before all were fixed except the rear parcel shelf still has a rattle.
Waiting now now to get the car back to see if the extra bass causes any rattles which I'll just trying adding sound deadening if any appear.
When speaking to Mercedes I described the rattles to being like running down the street with a pocket full of coins (they didn't find it funny).
Honestly, the quality of the build is pretty average (interior rattles and exterior panels not lined up etc) for a $180k car on the Australia market concidering all my past BMW's and my W204 C250 never made a sound.
Even my wife's W205 C250 work car is tighter then the AMG with only one dash rattle which I'll get sorted soon.

So So close now...
Tech ran into power issues when trying to run the Led lighting of the the boot lamp which held up the install from being completed today.
Hopefully the addition of a relay tomorrow will have the compliment of blue LEDs functioning when the boot lid is opened.
Got s demo of the system running with the two new 13.5" subs.... and it's amazing.
As much bass as I want at the turn of the dial and the volume has increase dramatically.
Worth every cent and every minute without the car.
I love the design of the install it's exactly like I asked for.
It's funny that two major shops known for there custom work told me they couldn't get two 12's in the quarters.
Just takes finding someone that has some passion and skill to work their magic.
To finish off:
- Fit covers for sub control and amp
- Fit floor
- Fit boot lid arm caps
- Fit relay for Led lighting
& DETAIL INSIDE & OUT

Well my custom Subwoofer boot install is all complete now.
We picked the AMG up this afternoon and my wife and I are super happy with the finished product both sound and design.
My wife got to drive home so she got to listen to her R&B while I got to follow admiring the AMG's presence on the road.
I hope everyone following this post have enjoyed the progressive build photos and like the finished project.
I cant stop looking at the photos I love it so much...
Its amazing how much fuller the sound is now with some strong deep bass and there's a big increase in volume too.
As I don't have a tuned ear and I'm am half deaf from over a decade in the Army, lol, I don't think I'll bother amping or re-processing the speakers as the new system sounds great to me.
Let me know what you think of the finished build and keep an eye out for the next build post on our W205 C250 custom single 12" floor caverty box starting in a couple of weeks.

Ya know it's rude to ask, but very curious on cost as well. Something I am very much considering as long as I can handle the cost.
