My 2012 GLK 350 4-Matic is due for new tires. I'm thinking of going OEM, since they have worn well (46k miles). The OEM tires are Continental 235/50R19 M+S 99H 4x4.
I got a quote of $900.00 out the door at a local tire shop for the exact same tire. I'll be calling my local MB dealer for a quote. MB Corporate is currently offering tires at $150.00 off at participating dealers, so we'll see how that works out.
The original 4x4 Continental Contact don't compare in any respect to several new upgraded tires you can get. I put only two Michelin on the rear and the difference was day and night. I'd say research a few newer upgraded brands.

I agree with Mmr1. I have a 2013 GLK 4-matic with same Continental tires you have. When they needed replacing, I went to Costco and ordered 4 Michelin LTX tires of the same size and rating. They are way better riding than the Conti's for about $900 installed. You might even find a coupon and save a little more.
There were several posts on this forum recommending the Michelins and their recommendations where right on.

Costco has good deals, a good warranty , and free Nitrogen on the fill. They have free Nitrogen every day, they don't use air!
I switched the OEM Dunlops on my 2012 GLK350 20 inch rims for Michelin Premier LTX. A very noticeable difference - much smoother ride and better handling.
I had 4 Michelin Premier LTX's installed yesterday and I can already feel the improvement. The steering feels lighter and more responsive and the tires seem a bit quieter. If I get 45k miles out of these, like the old Continentals, I will be real happy.

Oh yeah: I paid $860.00 out the door
With the vastly improved saftey and comfort , be happy and forget about wear. These might be the most comfortable , best handling, safest tires you can get.
How about 250 owners with original run flats - Some should have been due for replacement by now? Are there now better priced runflats that don't wear out prematurely?
In Canada, we did not get runflats - just all-seasons, a compressor and some stop-leak. I bought a compact spare but it takes up space, so runflats for replacement could be an option.
