Dear Gents,
I've recently purchased REAR CONSOLE ASH TRAY 2038100730 OEM instead of my european version which has no power outlet. So I checked WIS and couldn't find any info how to connect it. Does anyone can help in how originaly it was connected? I have OEM number written on the connector 037 545 14 28
Have you looked inside the center console for the mate to that connector? If it's not there, it may be that the EU models don't have the wiring harness for it. In that case, you'll need to devise your own. I actually did this in my W163 ML. I bought an OEM 12v port (like the one my W163 had in the cargo area) and then drilled into the rear console panel and ran wiring to install it. Looked like a perfect factory original part (that should have been there from the factory!)
That's actually a very interesting retro. I had no idea it was possible, so I now plan to do that this mine! One outlet is just insufficient. I also dislike having to have the ash tray in the console open, in order to charge my phone when I'm on a long journey in darkness with the illumination.
I think I may have seen a spare connector in the tunnel, which I had no idea what it was at the time. Perhaps this. If not I'll just tap it in.
I'd like one in the boot also for my tyre's compressor.
A boot (trunk!) outlet would be easy since the rear SAM is there to tap into its fuse panel. My SL has an outlet in the trunk for its air compressor (required because the spare is stored deflated). The part number is A2308200151. Here's what it looks like:

Well, no mate or specific wiring under armrest in my car unfortunately. I need to do the same I guess but for now I know only mate connector OEM number A2205455528 and need some info where to connect it, what kind of fuse should I use and etc
