I have a CL 500 with a faulty ic instrument cluster and would like to replace it to see if the actual problem is the ic, see the figure1.1 uploaded for the details.
It has blown the 7.5 A fuse at the inside passenger side compartment fuse box several times. this causing the side markers to go off-function as it also affects their circuit.
What numbers must match in order for the install to be plug and play?
Past experience: On my bmw e39 the abs module had trouble and I made sure to buy one with the exact part number and that was the solution for it.
PS: the car is a W215 chassis model CL 500 from 2004 and its soon going to the indy, to fix the engine mounts since its been having a horrible idle vibration that goes away when the car is in motion, he can tell me information about this issue but I wanted to see what the knowledgeable people from the forums can tell me.
Went on eBay and found a ic with the same part number but different SW number I don't know if that could make the install require additional programming for the software ver. See Figure 1.2
or you must get a cluster, any cluster with the same part number and someone with DAS can dowload your info from your cluster then drop it in the new cluster
