Illuminated Star
Anyone installed the illuminated star on a G?

Is there an OEM solution, or only aftermarket?

I installed it on mine last year. Love the way it looks. But I wired mine up to the fog lamps so when you hit the unlock on your key it turns on with them until you open the drivers door but shuts off while driving. If i want it on while driving (I personally never do), I can turn on my fog lights and the star will illuminate too.

Looks great! Is this a 3rd party illuminated star or OEM? What year is your G 550? Is it true that the illuminated star is incompatible with disctronic?
