and OP and others were talking about rain! You certainly don't need AWD for rain. Lol.

I find a huge this winter with Nokians rather than the Blizzaks I had for the last two winters, and obviously my C400 is light years ahead of my 507...but I do like the feature on my car that raises the suspension up to 45km/hr.

Does this carry over on the C43?

Trust me - if you drive the C63 properly on dry roads, its game-over. There is no comparison!

Perhaps I'm wrong but isn't the C43 the regular C class chassis, with some minor tweaks? The C63 is wider, totally different.

You didn't specify how long you intend to keep it. Is this a lease, or will this be a long-term possession? If the latter, the C63 will hold its value much better, no question.

As for for the extra HP in non-track settings- it's not so much that, it's the extra torque that you'll feel. It's highly addictive! I have driven the M178 engine but own the M156 C63 507 Edition. It's definitely tons of fun in the city, and you don't have to break the law to enjoy it.

I love over the V8 sound on startup, and even just driving at single-digit speeds, it's very special.

If you can afford it, C63 all the way. No question. You won't regret it!

good luck
the C63 and C class share alot of parts the rear is almost identical. I actually noted that this morning when i parked next to a c400

Ice. It's not the rain that's key in my case, it's the ice. I won't bore you folks with my stories about experiences in RWD cars. I moved to AWD for a reason. FWD would be fine, too, there just aren't any FWD cars I'm interested in

Which was a big turn off for me. I thought when I got the C400 I would go for a C63, but it is too understated for my liking. The previous generation had a much more noticeable road presence, easily spotted and distinguishable from mundane C lasses. This one? Not so much, or none at all. And some may like that but for me, a big turn off.
