Great looking car. I always loved audis because they were go karts with the all wheel drive and being able to mash the throttle all the time and when i was going to get my c63 i almost didnt and really looked at the s6. The only thing that won me over was the 500hp and the better v8 sound. Once you go v8 you never go back. I have yet to find a good sounding v6 that doesnt sound nasty and raspy.

Former B8 S4 and C7 S6 owner here. The B8 A5/S5/RS5 is one of the more mass-produced beautiful car designs in recent memory. But I REALLY don't like the look of the front end of this new B9 (the hood creases especially). That being said, I'm sure it's great to drive and would be a much better fit for me here in New Hampshire w/ the AWD.
I keep going back and forth between upgrading to a W205 C63S, waiting to see if Audi brings out a 4-door B9 RS4 (wagon or sedan), and a F80 M3. We'll see.

I would be hard pressed to get away from the w204 c63 as well. I still love them and they are very special.

Long time Audi fan here, so I'm definitely interested in driving one. I'm not really sold on the looks - the S4/S5 is a bit bland and this new RS5 doesn't really take that leap to really distinguish itself from the rest of the lineup.
The 8 speed automatic is a huge letdown. In this space, there is no excuse for still using a standard torque converter automatic. How can the RS3 inline-5 have a DCT but the RS5 has a slush box? Audi should have the resources available to develop a new DCT box that supports more torque.
Either way, very curious to get behind the wheel of one of these to see if the balance and cornering is any better or if it still plows into corners because of the weight over the front axle.

i think the new RS5 looks great. however, it's down on power. I know the figures are underrated, it is still short from the C63 but more than the M3/M4....
we will be happy with any of these special cars.

Outside of the R8, I dont think Audi have made a good drivers car since the RS4 B7. All the 4/5/6 - S/RS versions I've driven since the RS4 have all been nose heavy, understeer happy, overpriced and quite a boring drive when compared to AMG and BMW M alternatives.
Sure they look nice, are quick off the line and have good tech, but none really light my fire when I get to drive them.
Every time I hear a new one is coming out I get excited that Audi have got their act together again and made a real gem of a car. Every test drive I die a little inside and my dream of owning a modern day version of a B-Group Quattro rally car moves further away.
The numbers on the new TT RS and RS5 do look interesting, but we know as C63 owners its not just numbers that make you love how a car drives.
