Max Tyre Sizes C63S Coupe

My car is is in the workshop and the build has started. I am doing some research on tyres. I have the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup's fitted from the factory.

I thought the rear rims were 10” they are not they are 10.5” . These are the specs from MB. Clearly traction is the biggest issue, so I could fit short life race spec tyres like Toyo’s R888’s

Need some help with this please.

F:255/35R19 on 9.0Jx19ET25 does this mean we could fit 265 or 275’s?

R:285/30R20 on10.5Jx20ET57 does this mean we could fit 305 or 315’s?

I would go 265 in the front and 295 on the rear - you could push it to 305s.

315 is hard even with an aftermarket wheel with the right off set.

What are you doing to the car in terms of the build?

Yes I can confirm you can indeed fit a 265 front and 305 rear on the original rims, assuming the front is 9" wide and the rear rim size is 10.5 wide. These are the stock sizes on my ED1 Coupe.

The build is well underway.

Specs are:

Akrapovic full Ti system, Armytrix 200 cell downpipes, upgraded Turbo's both inlet and exhaust impellers have been increased as well as bearings etc etc, in other words bigger turbo's in the stock housing - just.

ECU programming to suit our premium fuel, 98 Octane. KW modified V3/4 kit to allow much lower drop than the stock KW drop of 30mm. BMC filters. Renntech BOV's and Tie Rod's. Light weight Lithium battery.

Mode Carbon, front grill, and other parts not listed yet.

Large and high Rear wing, think Black series.

Have looked at new rims, I like the standard ED1 RXC more than anything I have found aftermarket at this stage.

Numerous other small tweaks, spacers etc.

Timing: About half way through, main issue is freight timing delays. Should be finished end of April.

Sorry for the delay in responding, wanted to lock down the spec first.

There are some pretty badass wheels choices out there at the moment. I'm stunned that you haven't found anything that has caught your attention yet.

Looking forward to seeing your progress! What lithium battery are you using? I've been researching those because it's one of the easiest ways to drop some weight off this pig.
