I just replaced a set of AMG Wheels on my E550 with the attached wheels. I got them from a local shop who couldn't pin down the exact model these came with initially and all of my searches are bringing up anything from an 03-06 SL to a 03-06 E500. Can anyone pin down exactly which model/year these initially were made for?
I believe only SL and E. They came on my w211. Got any pics of them mounted?
Here's some before and after I put on some new center caps. Some how the silver backed ones that came on them got misplaced at the shop smh. So they put the old ones on from my previous set and they were in horrible shape.
So I guess my searches weren't useless. These did come on SL and E models. I assume the years are in the 2003 area. For these being from such an older model I like these as much or more then the AMG rims that came on my 2010. I was this close to getting Mandrus or TSWs but I didn't want anything that didn't really fit the look. I wanted to keep that mature benz look.
Wheels look really good! Mercedes and BMW used to make beautiful wheels years ago. The stuff they make now look like clown wheels to me and are so ugly. There is something about a classic simple design that just flows and is very pleasing to the eye.
We just test drove a F-Pace and it had ridiculous looking 22" wheels on it, it was comical to see such tiny rotors/calipers behind a massive wheel. Why manufactures are going forward with such a horrible look is beyond me.

I still think MB created good designs for the wheels. I really love the AMG blade on the W222
Love those wheels! I believe if you check back of wheel they should have the stamp of model ex 221 211 etc...are they staggered? Love 'Em!
Yes, these are a staggered set 18x8.5 F and 18x9.5 R. My previous set was 18x9 rear but I couldn't find a comparable AMG set. Slight poke out in the rear but it works aesthetically.
