We just got done driving the 2017 Mercedes-AMG GT S around the Circuit of the Americas during the Texas Auto Writers Association's Texas Auto Roundup. Now we're back in another Mercedes-Benz: the SL450.

How in the world could they drop the magnificent Mars Red from the SL? Designo Cardinal Red Metallic looks orange in most instances. Another crazy thing, is that the SL drives SOOOOO much better with ABC, but it was dropped from the standard equipment list when the R231 came out. Two ridiculous marketing moves and they wonder why SL sales have been tumbling in recent years.

Well, I guess everyone has their own opinion.
On my 2017 I chose the Cardinal Red And have always viewed the Mars Red flat and cheap looking.
Lot's of rice rockets in the Houston area a similiar color.
Also would never get the ABC system after all the problems I had on my 2008 SL and the months it stayed at the dealership getting repaired.
I do like red in general!
