hello and intro

also shortly after the above photo shoot i changed to my winter setup. I had the wheels coated a semi-gloss black over the summer at ACM and then the Vredestein tires put back on. after all the de-chroming i did i could not go back to the silver wheels for the next 4-6 months. came out similar to the OEM black wheels but not flat black and no silver stripe around the lip.
I do miss the concave profile of the Vorstiener wheels. hopefully spring comes early !!

Well its been a little over a year since i first laid eyes on this car. on 1/16 it will be one year since i drove her home. I wanted to go edit My first post with all the mods so Far but I cant as its too old. So here is a list current and will be getting longer as soon as winter ends A new set of tires Pilot SS are 100% as the stock wheels are shot and the R888 are too damn loud!!
winter wheels Vredestein Wintrax on stock 19" cross spoke wheels(specs in earlier post)
Summer Setup Vorsteiner VFF103 (stock in front, TOYO R888 in rear)
OEM all weather floor mats
RW Carbon Mirror housings
RW carbon Front Lip
35% tint
Rebellion filters
Turbokits.com BOV spacers
Black out badges (sides and rear)
blacked out silver trim(front, rear, window, side)
ACM stage 1 tune (best mod so far.. has me smiling ear to ear)
AMG metal lock pins
AWE Switchpath exhaust
AWE black exhaust tips
blackvue dash cam
Valentine 1 radar (will hard wire soon)
funny when I first drove this car my thought was "i wont even need to mod this car" i remeber being in MX 2 weeks later and emailing vividracing about what wheels they had in stock that would fit haha.
as soon as spring comes in i will be taking this car another step further. i will post all those mods and some pics.
if anyone has any questions let me know!!

Well I thought winter was over here. but looks like the next week is coming back in full force. Its prob best since some of my parts for my spring mods have no been received in yet. I have had the KW HAS kit sitting at the shop waiting for install for a month(thank you Golan @ autotalent)
First up on the list was finally getting a proper detail. I brought the car to Auto Polishing center in NJ and they did a full paint correction and arctic coat treatment. The car looks better then brand new. Water just beads and slides right off the car now.
here are a few pics from when i picked her up and one from last night

The car looks great. I am also thinking of Arctic Coating and can't find too many reviews. How does it compare to other vendors like Ceramic Pro and Modesta?
Thanks

I talked to a few people that had it done last spring and they said it is still holding up well.

Wow I am sorry I missed this. I have never done either of those so cant comment. so far it has been great. rain just sheets right off and as soon as I start driving the car seems to "air dry' also the dirt just washes right off.

I am planning on posting a new thread with some new pics once i Get a shoot done. However i am excited so posting some on this old thread first.
My secret Mod list is finally complete after being delayed by this and that.
First Up was KW HAS kit from Autotanlent. did not start off extremely low in case there was settling plus wanted to see how the new wheels fit. Once we lowered the weak offset in the front was very evident as the wheel was very tucked.
Next was a set of 20" 2 Piece Velos s3 wheels finished in satin black. the offset and 19" did not clear the rear breaks so we had to go back and have them made in 20". wheels are 20x9.5 and 20x10.5 tires are Michellin Pilot Super sport 255/30 and 285/30 the fitment is dead on, flush with the fenders and no rubbing. Oh i ordered a set of black vorstiener Spline lugs to attach these as my stock lugs with plasti dip would no longer cut it haha.
Lastly i received the Mode Carbon front grill and rear diffuser. After some production delays I finally got the peices last week and did the install over the weekend. I posted a guide for the rear. the front was kind of just pulling and pushing till everything came apart. i love the blacked out look of these parts. the silver on the grill was the last bit on the car. the rear was the only matt black part left. Car style wise is now as complete as i can get it.
Lower on old wheels
On the new wheels
Front grill install
rear diff installed.

Yeah, its just that front lip that is a yes/no for me. Looks crazy aggressive but then again I love the clean look of the stock... might settle for the edition 1 diffuser... choices choices choices

As far as the lip it take full commitment for sure. It's aggressive as hell and def takes the car from subtle to in your face. Rw does offer another style now that doesn't have the side "flares" so maybe a good compromise
