Hey Guys, just came back from AMG Driving Academy at Road Atlanta. We were told ATL was the first to get the E63s on the track so very little miles. The car is an absolute beast. I might just completely skip over the new M5 for this. My only reservation is the car does look a bit soft, especially in white. I think the rear is the problem.
What better way to test drive the car than to drive it really damn hard. Can't wait to go back.
Didn't care for the AMG GT S back then but damn, these are quite the machine.
What are your initial impressions?
Does it ride softer in comfort than the existing?
i assume handling must be quite a bit better than the 212?
love the rides. U want beast, it becomes a beast. U want comfort, it does that too. I don't have a w212 nor have I driven them to compare.
My current comparison cars are the w222 s550, e92 m3, and a g63. This car won't lose out to my current w222 in terms of comfort. Obviously won't handle like the m3 because it's definitely heavier, but it does corner nice and tight. U can feel it's much heavier and less agile than the c63s as well.
We used this car for the sudden lane change excerise so the handling is definitely there. Overall, a nice everything car to have.
Is it really as comfortable over harsh roads as an S550?
i didn't think it would of been even close to an S class even in comfort mode.
Granted I was aiming to drive hard, my limited time in comfort seems like it would be a great daily. I know the S will always be more comfy/cushy but this car is indeed a perfect balance imo. Where our S550 excel is even at fast *** speeds, it's a nice comfy ride and feels like a proper S. Whereas in the E63s, the car is just a sporty drive overall.

I have the Selenite Grey Magno E63S on order. Liked the red too but figured it would be too much of a cop magnet.
Really looking forward to the AMG academy once I get the car. Have done the Audi version at Infineon in an R8. Will be interesting to see how they compare.
