To further dilute the brand, MB announced they will be making a tweener version of the CLA. I wonder how the "real" AMG guys are going to feel about a fake 4 cylinder AMG to sit below the "real" first hand built 4 cylinder

Brian Cooley's video (CNET on cars/Roadshow) on YT did the same thing. Showing a pic of a C-class and said E-class.
I would have to dig for the source. I think I remember seeing it on this forum somewhere.
They do look very similar from a distance. At that perfect angle it would take a really trained eye to spot the difference.

i feel like the A6 has been easier to tell from the A4 speaking before A4 preredesign.
C class to E class I have to focus to tell the difference when I'm driving
unless it's from the front , the headlights stick out.whats even worse is that the E class interior without the fancy display doesn't feel like a huge upgrade from the C ,sat in one at the showroom and there was no "envy" felt
kind surprised and depressed me at the same time.I wanted to want it immediately I sat in it

Thanks for warning. The no-big-deal interior, plus the E-class quality difficulties (apparently similar to the C-class quality difficulties I have endured), the frustrations of the new E-class COMAND system, and the lack of a CD slot for my 400 CDs will let me control my lust for an upgrade to an E-class. I am subscribing to BMW and Audi forums to see how their owners are experiencing them.
meanwhile almost brand new ones with premium 2 or 1 are discounted by over 10k
