I have a road test of a C6 ZO6 doing 100-160kph in 3.9 sec. My SL55 does this interval regularly in 3.8 sec according to my Vbox. This is a full second quicker than the car did stock. EC tune on a 77mm clutched pulley, KC, split 2.5 gal system, bigger TB, shorty headers, no cats, Quaife, bigger injectors, K&Ns and 900+ lbs more weight than the Vette!! One does not need to go to the strip (unless you like the racing) and beating up your car doing standing starts to see how your mods have been working and comparing to other cars out there. www.accelerationtimes.com has all the data.
My E55 with ONLY an EC tune on a 84mm pulley does the 100-160 in 4.5sec compared to 5.0 sec stock. That is the same as my 11.8 sec 120mph cammed LS7 (ZO6 motor) ute. The speed through the traps is more indicative of hp than the ET which involved a 2.0 sec 60 foot. The ute is 500lbs lighter!! Amazing cars these 55's .... until the heat soak ruins the party.
