Very interesting list of vehicles. I have a first year US version of the R107. <90k miles. Do I think it will become a collectors car? Yeah it will but I don't think it will ever be worth a lot of money. There were so many of these vehicles made. And there are so many still on the road. I see this car as an investment in making friends with similar interests. In my lifetime, this will not be my nest egg.
I also own the other vehicle that made the collectors list. 2013 C63 AMG with the P31 Development Package and Designo interior. Another low mileage car with 27k miles. I can see this car being worth something in about 20 years. I suppose this can be my sons nest egg.

OP, the last True beast big block of its pound for pound best MB ever produced with having the classic interior trim, and not adopting the C or S class rear. Is the MY2016 W212 E63S that will be an investment in years to come at auctions.
