AFTERMARKET NAVIGATION

Hello,
Does anyone installed an aftermarket Navigation and in particular CLARION Brand? I went yesterday to ask for my options and the salesman there told me that the main radio console will be taken out (including the buttons of Phone etc...) and will be replaced with the CLARION RADIO touch screen and so on.. All functions will be working as they were working except the scroll knob.. Does anyone did this before so i can have feedback and more important pictures of final product?

Thank you

He's right. You will lose the scroll button because it is integrated into the OEM unit only. Stay away from Clarion. That's an alright brand for your boat, but look into Pioneer or Alpine for an aftermarket nav unit. Pioneer spearheaded the Apple Carplay movement if you have an Iphone, and I've owned 3 of their units and loved them.

My C250 didn't have the navigation and I didn't want to loose the stock look and feel with an after market unit. So I went with the Baker Map module that connects with the existing unit and sits in the glove compartment.
Not too bad.

I had trouble on Windows as well, but it eventually worked on my work PC. I think certain versions of XP, Vista, etc work and some don't. My personal PC is on Windows 10 and the Becker just wasn't having it.

I read a lot of people having trouble. I think Becker never updated the program so it's finiky with certain versions of Windows.

I don't have it installed in my C Class. I have a 2014 C with the nav package already. I had it installed in my last 2 cars and I have one currently in my girlfriend's Jeep. Here is what the Pioneer NEX look like though:
