Picked up my 2014 C300 to replace my 07 C230. Was so pleased with my 230 that I upgraded to the C300. So far just had the windows tinted. Might go with the gloss black C63 style grille.

 

Went right back to the dealer and they assured me I was installed correctly - I also washed the car and the emblem was flush, so is there some type of locking mechanism that wasn't in place?

I chalked it up to my luck - but after seeing the video/pics - mbpartsfactory.com stepped up and sent me a replacement even though my order didn't originate with them (super classy)...

And the inner trunk was wrapped - had a scratch from previous owner I didn't feel like sinking loot in to paint so went this route instead...

Small but necessary cosmetic mod. Can't stand those garish orange OEM side markers.

 

I know this. I just always felt the center portion kinda looks empty so why not if it wasn't hard to add.

Thanks. My 07 was also Mars Red with Black Interior. I did order the clear side marker lights yesterday. That orange against the red does look hideous. Quick easy mod that I think will definitely make the car look better.

more updates:

Applied the updated black emblem and ensured was done so correctly by doing myself.

added the windshield strip 35 % to cover dashcam (I think thy went a little too low and may ask them to redo - haven't decided.

Wrapped the DTDL's & chrome trim on front bumper...

Also had the 507 edition stripe package applied - but it was done so too high so they will be fixing...

Just bought my first M-B, a 2013 C300 with 51k. It is a CPO and bone stock. So far, I'm very impressed!

Done quite a few things to the back end, a lot of gloss black pieces.

 

 

Looks sick man .. Hey I have that same deck lid wing .. did you have problems with the middle laying rite .. Installed mine and you can see a gap ... Don't think I let sit long enough to get heated up to form to deck rite ... Any suggests would be a great help ... Again awesome car

 

Hideous amber side marker lights have been replaced with clear ones with Silverstar bulbs. I'll post some pictures soon.

 

Thanks! Mine has zero gap all across the trunk, it fits very well. Maybe you need to take it off and realign it again?

 

Yea .. Just the whole point of getting the 3M tape off and the glue ... Have to let it heat up to get it to lay rite

 

As long as you don't let it cure for too long it should not be as difficult to get off as OEM installed 3M.
