My steering wheels makes kind of a grindy/squeaking noise and I turn it multiple rotations. I've been told that's normal but I have a hard time believing it rolled out of the factory like this.

Am I alone or are we all just rolling around in squeak factories.

no idea how to post a video here, but if it's sounding like a "me" thing I'll figure it out.

Not the slightest hint of noise here.

Mine is silent too, but it does make a little squeak when the wheel retracts up when shut off

Had the same problem and at first MB told me too was normal, then I told them it wasn't. This was what was replaced under warranty.

Nice job on making MB take care of a legitimate problem! I can't stand noises coming from my cars when I know there shouldn't be!

Thats what paying premium for service is all about man. Can't imagine someone telling me a noise that was not there when I bought the car and then all of the sudden it appears and it's normal. Just glad it was caught and fixed.
