That's a woofer? Could you please take a picture of it when it's pulled.

I assume you're upgrading the speaker?

Thank you! Yes I am curious to see if it is a woofer or?? Assuming it is a 5 1/4" speaker and I want to replace them with some high end speakers that are supposed to have better bass. I want to try this route before plunging into a more invasive trunk mounted woofer install. My understanding is that the OEM Mercedes speakers are very cheap paper ones and I am hopeful that a high end aftermarket one will have enough bass for my purposes even though obviously a large trunk mounted woofer will obviously have way more.

Fwiw there is a four member here named Mike that has done this extensively and the conclusion you came to is that changing out the speakers is the least responsive way to improve sound. I'll try to dig up his thread. Must read.

This is what I will eventually be doing. It looks like doors are woofers not subs. And no box. Hopefully, I can fit a 10" in stock area in rear.

Thanks AMG 17GT yeah I saw that but that stock C class setup is very different from mine as I believe mine is only 4 speakers total: the door speakers and the one behind the driver and passenger shoulder are dummies unless you have the premium audio which I don't.

I see. Well I hope it gives you some guidance on integration with head unit.
