Toe wear or camber wear
Inside wear
So I have 245's on 8.5" wheels on front. They are slightly stretched but very slightly.
is this wear due to camber or toe in/out. Car is star lowered so I know they can't get camber in spec with stock bushings. But this looks more like toe wear. This is the inside edge of tire.

When I experienced camber wear (996TT rear tires) it was a wider band, like a couple inches. Do both front tires have the same wear? I think it looks more like a rubbing issue, is that possible? Doesn't look like toe in either.

When I was campaigning an autocross car (way back when we could do all of our own mods and repairs. . . without a computer. Heck, there were no computers back then.), wear like that on an inside edge of a tire indicated gross excess toe-OUT. Have you had alignment checked by a reputable shop?

Negative cambered car from factory, when lowered more with a little much toe in will cause that. It is recommended to toe out a bit to counteract the inner tire wear.
F1 fabrications just came out with front camber adjustable upper control arms fwiw, ur wallet will not be too happy at $495

My W203, you can see this on the front. The wheels are sort of like this \ ^ /. Arrow indicating the front of the car.

I have verified there is nothing rubbing. I had the alignment done a while ago... it is time for it again... so would you recommend going a slightly toe out rather than factory because it is lowered? How many degrees?

i have an ELM and my car is lowered 1.2 on the display. my tires look nothing like that. show us a picture of the car as it sits.
looks like your car has really bad camber, and some toe issues. i hope you're aware that after 50mph or something your car will lower an additional 15 or 20mm depending on if you are in Comfort or Sport 1

Here is pic of car. The wheels are junk reps (I like the s63 look and wouldn't mind them if they were better quality and the front backspacing wasn't so far off) but I want to replace them. 19x8.5 et 40 in front with 5mm spacers 245/35/19 and 19x9.5 et45 no spacer in rear 275/30/19

yeah Strigoi, I agree, I never thought it was, but Lokey MB believes it was "evened out" in STAR, whatever that means... and they said that is the reason camber can't be put into spec.
So I am thinking about going with BBS LMs... Tire Rack is recommending et32 offset for front and rear... I know there are a few of you running LMs wanted to see what your setup is... I am looking at 19x8.5 et 32 front, 19x9.5 et 32 rear. Although et32 rear seems like too much on the outside and might get some fender rub, I saw one site that was recommending et40 for the rear with 19x9.5 LMs

ya...that looks like factory height.
if your air suspension was uneven your car would not drive straight. with the amount of wear you're posting honestly it would mean your car is REALLY REALLY out of alignment. i've driven on cars with rear tires at -5 degree's camber and haven't had as much tire wear as you are seeing. can you post pics of your wheels in relation to the body.

doesn't look like your alignment is out of spec through print out or picture. your right front tire does have more toe, but not enough to cause the issue you're reporting. as someone else mentioned, maybe upon BIG bumps on the road you're getting some tire contact.

If the offset is wrong you could rub on something other than the fender, take the tire off and check the wheel housing. Verify that you have the correct offset. Did the wheels come on the car when you bought it?

Yeah they came with the car, PO put them on. the front offset is et40 with a 5mm spacer. I am going to replace them soon with something with around a 32mm offset, I don't like having the spacer. I will go ahead and pull the wheel again and see if I can see where it might be hitting, like on big bumps. Other than that one grove the rest of the tire has pretty even wear. I have about 8k miles on this tire as it looks.
